Together for better care – connecting providers and strengthening quality
In the Laufental care region, a central digital hub is being developed as a "one-stop-shop" for services to benefit the population in a home setting. This is being established with support from the Verein Gesundes Laufental and regional providers.
The project actively addresses a general societal trend of using digital means to gather information and search for and purchase services and products online. A central access point to services and offerings also counters other challenges, such as the increasing number of single-person households, geographic distance between relatives, and the growing scarcity of resources (e.g., skilled labor shortages).
The overarching goal is the optimal healthcare provision for the population in Laufental. In line with this, the following goals are being pursued:
Networking of providers and knowledge exchange
Moving away from isolated silo thinking (outpatient, partial inpatient, inpatient)
Comparability of providers and services
Location- and time-independent overview of offerings
Easy and direct access to comprehensive care
Promotion of self-determination and independence
Improvement of quality of life and health
Secure medication (increase supply security, correct intake)
Cost and financing transparency
Stabilization of healthcare costs
